Biomedical Engineering awarded $300,000 by Hoblitzelle Foundation

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNT was awarded $300,000 by the Hoblitzelle Foundation, to support Biomedical Engineering laboratories. Dr. Vijay Vaidyanathan, Founding Chair of Biomedical Engineering, wrote the proposal in collaboration with Ms. Susan Holmes and Ms. Erin Smith at UNT Development; he also made a presentation to the Foundation on the growth and prospects on the department. The funds will be made available to the department in two installments.

“We thank the Hoblitzelle Foundation for their generous award! This award will enable us to provide state of the art, biomedical engineering education and research to our students,” said Dr. Vaidyanathan.
